A musical homage to the artists that passed in 2022.
Following the creation of Dearly Departed in 2017, the Brighton Beach Boys return to the task of honouring the musical stars who have left the stage during the course of the last year. Dearly Departed 2022 will mark the passing of global talents who sadly died last year.
No genre of popular music was left unaffected with stars from every era being taken. The show will mark their passing and offer a musical tribute to their songs, beauty, and inspiration.
Who do you miss most? In the last year we have lost Jerry Lee Lewis and Loretta Lynn, great originators of rock ‘n’ roll and country, Ronnie Spector and Anita Pointer, iconic voices of soul drenched pop, Meat Loaf and Christine McVie, artists who shaped the sounds of FM rock during the 80s, and Terry Hall and Wilco Johnson, whose careers shaped the UK pop landscape in personal and unique ways.
This show will mark their passing and honour their memory, with songs lovingly recreated with forensic attention to detail.
Pre show suppers
Lesley’s Kitchen serve pre-show meals before selected events. Meals are served from 6pm. A two-course meal is just £13. Mains are £10.50. Desserts are £3.50. Each menu has meat and vegetarian options, and Lesley takes special dietary requirements into account. Advance booking is necessary.
