About this event
‘The Next Eric Clapton’ ~ Buddy Guy
Voted one of the world’s top-10 blues-rock guitarists by Music Radar, Laurence Jones is an exceptional artist and performer.
Born in Liverpool, the multi-award-winning guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter released his eighth studio album ‘Bad Luck & The Blues’ last year. It charted #1 in The Official Jazz & Blues Charts in the UK and earned him “the future of the blues” moniker by Classic Rock Magazine.
As well as being a phenomenon in his own right, Jones has shared stages with legends like Sir Van Morrison, Sir Ringo Starr, Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck, Status Quo and many more, with Buddy Guy personally inviting the young guitar sensation onstage in front of 15,000 people at the Holland International Blues Festival.
This tour is brought to you by AGMP and the Music Venues Trust.
“AGMP are delighted to be working with the Music Venues Trust in bringing the 2025 tour of incredible guitarist Laurence Jones to some of the finest grassroots independent music venues across the UK. It is part of AGMP’s DNA to work with venues that have been the birthplace of some of the biggest music stars in the world, and it’s great to be able to join forces with our industry champion, the MVT.”
Danny Giles supports. “With the speed of Yngwie Malmsteen, the power of Dimebag Darrell, the tone of Walter Trout – all wrapped up in a mighty blues feel – Danny is a guitar hero in the making”, Classic Rock Magazine U.K.
Please note, this is an all-standing event.
