Blow-Up is an enigma that invites audiences to luxuriate in the sensual atmosphere of 1960s London chic. Hemmings plays a fashion photographer who looks through his snaps and believes he has captured the murder of two lovers.
Blow up can still thrill, 50 years on, including the sequence from which it takes its title – that rapt attention to the photographer’s art really is something to behold.
